The Re-thinking Pre-College Math Project proudly announces its newest grantees!!!

In the regular session of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges on March 17 - 18, 2010, the grant awards for this year's Re-thinking Pre-College Math project were announced. While maintaining our overall emphasis on math transitions and college readiness the TMP has initiated a new phase of TMP work beginning with the September Math Institute.  We have shifted our focus to the pre-college (aka developmental education) math curriculum at Washington post-secondary institutions, building on work to date through TMP as well as the Achieving the Dream colleges here in Washington. We are partnering with the Washington Center for Improving Undergraduate Education to pursue an ambitious new three-year program addressing these issues. Read more.

The State Board supports promising developmental course restructuring strategies.

This section offers some specific ideas and strategies that the Pre-College Math planners support and strongly encourage grant applicants to include in their proposals.

The RPM Management Team welcomes an overwhelming turnout for its Winter Retreat!!

TMP's new emphasis on improving student passing rates in pre-college math will move forward with discussions on fostering system enhancements to math curricula, instruction, and assessment / placement during our 2010 RPM Winter Retreat event at the lovely Cedarbrook Conference Center, in SeaTac, WA, on January 28 - 29, 2010.

The newly formed RPM Partnership came together for the first time for a Spring Workshop
at Cedarbrook Lodge, in SeaTac, on April 20-21, 2010.

Dates for our 2010 TMP Summer Institute are confirmed and on the calendar for August 23-26, 2010,
at the always popular Sleeping Lady, in Leavenworth, WA.
