Edmonds Articulation Council Project (EAC)

The Edmonds Articulation Council has actively engaged its community to increase understanding of math content and achievement.  This long-standing partnership has utilized its Phase II TMP partnership to further align curriculum and placement, as well as connections across education sectors.  This partnership developed courses aligned with the College Readiness Standards targeting students who had completed at least two years of math for Intermediate Algebra, Applied Algebra and Geometry, a Chemistry-based Applied Math course, and a Statistics Course.  These courses encourage students to take more rigorous subjects and be prepared for college and employment level mathematics.

EAC Partners
The Edmonds Articulation Council is a partnership between Edmonds Community College and Edmonds School District.

TMP Accomplishments
EAC developed a cross-sector walk-through guide to measure observable student attributes in the classroom.

EAC hosted a February 2008 math conference of parents, students, industry representatives, K12 instructors, math department chairs and district leaders, and community college faculty and administrators to share their perspectives on a range of math achievement issues and discuss solutions.
