TMP- Phase II (2006 -2009)
Local / Regional Partnerships
Once the College Readiness Standards (CRS) were completed, approved and published, the Transition Math Project (TMP) began its Phase II / integration stage. Enabling educators to integrate the CRS in their classrooms, math departments and districts, TMP launched 17 partnerships across Washington to help all students achieve college readiness in math at the local level. The innovative products, events and ongoing professional development created by these partnerships are gaining recognition and momentum statewide.
The partnerships foster these core TMP principles:
- diverse cross-sector representation from high schools, colleges, and even industry
- implementation of the College Readiness Standards in curricula and instructional materials
- strong involvement of faculty through partnerships and teacher professional development
- commitment to locally-identified needs and energy
- connection to the larger TMP statewide effort through public outreach and communications
