Walla Walla Area Project

The Walla Walla Community College Project (WWCC) will engage in a one year proof of concept initiative designed to assist faculty at WWCC and Walla Walla High School to align courses and assessments with the College Readiness Mathematics Standards. In addition, this initiative has begun, with leadership from Walla Walla Community College, to implement software (Mathematica) to broaden the tool set available to teachers to develop written materials efficiently, to develop and deliver effective classroom presentations, to explore mathematical ideas (numeric, symbolic, and graphical) themselves and together with students, and to support a dynamic, visual, and interactive classroom environment. The partnership created to achieve these outcomes is comprised of math faculty from Walla Walla Community College and Walla Walla High School.
