2007 - 2008 TMP / Agile Mind Project: New and Prospective User Guide
Overview
The Transition Mathematics Project is proud to announce a collaboration with Agile Mind.
Agile Mind is a comprehensive, web-based mathematics instructional and professional development program for teachers. It offers dynamic, engaging math tasks and assignments for a range of students, particularly low-income, ethnic minority. It further offers rich, standards-based resources, data collection tools, and the infrastructure for helping teachers make sound instructional decisions. Its content spans middle school through college readiness and includes all levels of algebra, geometry, calculus and statistics.

Five Steps to Becoming a TMP-sponsored Agile Mind User:
Agile Mind has been successfully implemented in a number of states and communities. In all cases, success has been dependent upon organizational support and coordination, and a clear sense of what Agile Mind is and can do for teachers and students. As you explore how Agile Mind can be implemented in your local area, consider these five essential expectations to becoming a Transition Math Project-sponsored Agile Mind user:
- Review TMP’s College Readiness Standards, which are now aligned with Agile Mind, to explore how your local efforts will support the WA State Agile Mind implementation effort. Also, please feel free to contact the TMP Coordinator, John House, at jhouse@highline.edu for additional information on this project.
This basic implementation training is required and will include ongoing, tailored, professional-development-follow-up training as well.
- Commit to being part of a statewide pilot of Agile Mind that will include participation in feedback and evaluation processes throughout the project.
